I can’t say enough wonderful things about this whole office. Dr Otero and his entire team are amazing. My husband and I have been going there for several years, but recently I had two dental issues arise and they rearranged their days, so that I didn’t have to be in pain any longer. Absolutely outstanding! Been going to dentists all my life and Dr. Misael Otero is by far the best. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced as well as kind and caring. Furthermore, he will only recommend work you actually need - how refreshing! I am a devout chicken when it comes to dental work and for most of my 50+ years have had good luck with my teeth. Recently though, I had to have a baby tooth replaced with an implant and was really nervous about it. My fears were unfounded - the whole process was truly a pleasant experience! Dr. Otero is extremely skilled and works efficiently and quickly and best of all no pain! None during the procedure and not afterwards. Plus, he calls personally in the evening after the surgery to check and be sure you are ok. Wow! My brother-in-law was visiting not long ago and had a crown come loose. Dr. Otero was able to see him even though he wasn't normally his patient and fix the issue. My husband has had extensive dental work and also gives Dr. Otero rave reviews. There are lots of dentists around and some claim to do good work, however, Dr. Otero is the one of the only dentists who does everything in his office, under his supervision, by his well trained, caring staff. He is the only dentist we will see in this area!  

I had been with my previous Dentist for 25 before we moved here. I went through 2 dentists here before finding this one. They call me by name before I even get fully in the door and I just started going to them last year! Very friendly and the office feels more spa like than a dentist office. I love the side exam room, they have bird feeders so I can watch the birds while they are working on me.

No one likes to go to the dentist but for the best experience possible at the dentist, go to Otero Family, Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry. Every single person who works there is just so incredibly kind and friendly. They all seem to get along with each other like family -- which they really are. It must be such a great place to work -- and it's the best place to go for any dental needs you may have. I can't recommend them enough.

Get ready for a nice surprise. For the first time in my 8 years in Wilmington that I have gone to a doctor and actually felt like everyone there went out of their way to show their appreciation for me being there. There was no brusque staff when I arrived at Dr. Oteros. It seemed the common goal was to put me at ease. A dentist office no less! I have been to enough doctors visits to know that having a staff like that means only one thing. They like who they work for and will go out of their way to do things as professionally and confidently as they can. They really like where they work and they really like who they work for. This is not your average dental office. I can't think of any doctor's office I have been to that even comes close to the natural, pleasant feeling of Dr Otero's office, It is not difficult to figure out. I had long given up inspecting anything pleasant and had gotten to the point where I dreaded going to see any doctor. Not a happy place to be, the waiting room. Always ended up where I felt like I was a bother to them. Never going out of their way to be particularly nice or pleasant. Seems like expecting too much. After my first meeting with Dr Otero, it became clear to me that his goal as well as his staffs, was to ensure that I was comfortable and address any questions or concerns I may have. As a matter of fact for the first time in my life I actually look forward to going to the dentist.

From being greeted at the front desk to Dr. Otero's exceptional manner and attention to quality dentistry, my experience instilled confidence and care. As someone who has a deathly fear of dentists, my experience with Dr. Otero and his staff was the BEST I've ever had. They made me feel comfortable with every step of the process, made sure I understood my options, listened to my concerns and took complete care of me. It was the best experience I've ever had and I am no longer scared of the dentist.

I was trying to establish myself as a new patient based on internet information, and a very peaceful feeling that I got after praying for a new dentist. During this very busy time of year (just days before Christmas) Otero's fitted me in, addressed/fixed my immediate dental concerns and provided additional services which added on to my appointment time. However, I never felt rushed, not listened to or cared for. Dr. M Otero was great and I felt confident in his professional expertise. The staff is nice too and they did not pay me to say these things!

When you visit the office, you feel as though you are walking in to a spa. The colors are cool and calming, beautiful scented candles burn and the hand wash/lotions are enticing. You can even get a paraffin hand wax while you relax watching TV. You have to wonder, am I really in a dentist office?

This is the best dentist I have EVER been to. I went in frustrated with my sort of crooked teeth, and one year later after Invisalign I love my teeth! I did not want braces at 24 and thought some filing down of my teeth would make them look better, Dr. Otero showed me the dangers of doing this and that it would make my teeth look strange unless my gums were pushed up as well. The treatment did this and more. My teeth are easier to floss, brush and whiten. They are always prompt, caring and professional at this dentist and I am never worried if it is clean enough. It is sparkling in this office. I highly recommend this dentist to anyone, especially if you dislike or are scared of the dentist because they work extra hard to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. You will love this dentist!

I have had dental issues all my life due to medication as a child, Dental work at a Dental College and other "Experts" in the Dental Profession. Dr. Otero and the Staff at Otero Dentistry have given me my life back at 51 years of age. These folks are the real deal as far as total oral care and restoration. They don't just make you look good but, more importantly, restore your health and give you back quality of life. 

The Otero Bridge and All on 4 teeth replacement is amazing. The process was a 1 on a pain scale from 1 to 10, swelling and discomfort were non-existent. I was back to full function within 24 hours and even had a steak the next evening after the All on 4 procedure. 

The Staff is so professional and I cannot say enough good things in this small space to explain my complete joy and gratefulness to Otero Dentistry. I guess the 7 1/2 hour drive from Atlanta Georgia to Wilmington N.C says it all. I'll do anything to have total oral care from the BEST. I highly recommend Otero Family Dentistry!

I highly recommend Otero Cosmetic Dentistry! I have received nothing but top notch, state of the art care from Dr. Otero and his staff from day one. Like a lot of people I have a little anxiety when it comes to the dentist and I needed a rather extensive care plan which Dr. Otero has provided like no other dentist I have ever visited. In fact, I'm not certain Dr. Otero can be titled a dentist. He's more like an artist. NO KIDDING!
